We invite you to a unique evening of music that brings together seemingly disparate musical worlds - classical music and jazz. On Friday, 21 February 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at the Casino Social House, the West Bohemia Symphony Orchestra will present a chamber concert that will bring the audience closer to the tones of French and American jazz and Argentine tango.
The evening will be dedicated to the works of three important composers, Claude Bolling, Dave Brubeck and Astor Piazzolla. Their music combines the precision of classical interpretation with the dynamism and improvisational spirit of jazz. The authentic performance will be provided by four outstanding performers: harpist Jana Boušková, pianist Karel Košárek, double bassist Petr Dvorský and drummer Jiří Stivín.
Programme:
Claude Bolling: compositions on the border between classical and jazz
Astor Piazzolla: tango nuevo
Dave Brubeck: legendary jazz compositions
Come and enjoy the harmonious fusion of two musical worlds performed by masters of their field. This evening promises an extraordinary musical experience that will delight not only classical music lovers but also jazz enthusiasts.
