What is waiting for you this week at the Chopin House? On Thursday, let yourself be carried away by the energetic jazz performed by Petra Brabencová and her band, and on Saturday enjoy a guitar recital by Josef Kanta, who will guide you through the world of classical music. In addition, we will celebrate European Heritage Days with a tour of the Chopin House.
We invite you to the Chopin House for two exceptional musical events!
The first is a jazz concert by Petra Brabencová, one of the most talented representatives of the young musical generation. On Thursday, September 12 at 8:00 pm, she will present modern and classical jazz along with an energetic band that will make your inner flame dance. Come experience an unforgettable evening of music and emotion. Tickets can be purchased online or at the information centre for 240 CZK.
The second event is a guitar recital by Josef Kanta, a talented guitarist from Pilsen. On Saturday, 14 September at 7:30 pm, you can expect an evening full of masterpieces by Spanish, Italian and Brazilian composers, and even pieces by J. S. Bach. This concert takes place as part of the European Heritage Day for a discounted price of 240 CZK.
In addition, on Friday 13 September at 16.00 there will be an opening of the exhibition "Visions for the centre of Mariánské Lázně", which will present projects by students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University. The students have been working on proposals for the completion of a gap on the site of the previously planned Arnika sanatorium. In contrast to their proposals, historical photographs of this part of the town by Fr. Fridrich (in cooperation with the ML City Museum). The opening will be accompanied by a piano performance by Ondřej Tuček jr. The exhibition will run until the end of October. Admission to the opening is free.
On Saturday, 14 September, we will celebrate the European Heritage Days in the Chopin House, in addition to the above-mentioned concert, visitors can look forward to a guided tour of the house from 14.00. For those who can't make the tour, they will be able to explore the house using QR codes and the Smartguide audio guide, which they can download on their mobile phones. The house will be open for free, including the Fryderyk Chopin Memorial.
