The Marjánek Folklore Ensemble is a group full of enthusiasts who live for tradition, singing and dancing. Its history begins in the 1990s, when it started to form as a drama group. It has gradually evolved into what it is today. Today, the group mainly deals with customs and dances from the Chodsko region and performs in traditional Chodsko costumes accompanied by bagpipe music. It has about 40 members of all age groups. The youngest members perform under the name Malý Marjánek.

Like any ensemble, it is constantly evolving, rewarding and improving in its activities. It regularly organises several cultural events during the year. It presents Christmas customs and carols in a programme called The Road to Bethlehem. The Easter programme always takes place on Easter Sunday under the title of Marian Spring. The most important event of the year is the International Folklore Festival Marian Autumn, which traditionally takes place on the third weekend in September. Towards the end of the 1990s the ensemble joined the Folklore Association of the Czech Republic.

In 2004 it founded the Civic Association of the Marjánek Folklore Ensemble, which has been organising the International Folklore Festival since 2005. Since 2008 the ensemble has been under the direction of Bc. Kateřina Josefi (Jandlová). Since 2004 the ensemble has been accompanied by its own bagpipe music, which plays in the composition of bagpipes, clarinets, violin, bass, vozembouch and fanfrnoch, led by Bc. Filip Hahn. In 2014 the music recorded its second CD.
