City Museum will be closed for reconstruction

The museum staff must first clear out and move the exhibitions on the 1st floor of the extension, including the depositories with all the collection items. These are already being moved into the new depository with sliding shelving, modern air conditioning and security, which was completed in August this year. After that, the strengthening of the ceiling structure and the reconstruction of the floors will begin, which will also prepare for the construction of a new, modern exhibition. The museum's research services will also be reduced due to the workload of staff moving and inventorying collection items.

The opening date of the museum is not known at the moment. We will keep the public informed of any changes.
