The second year of the family festival Weekend in Motion for locals and non-locals is already knocking on the columns of Ferdinand's Spring. On Saturday 8 June, this popular place in the heart of the spa parks will be filled with movement and creative workshops for children and adults, theatre for the little ones and music for the whole family.
"We designed the festival so that the whole family and grandma could have fun." says the smiling Běla Tréšková, one of the main representatives of the Mariánka in Motion association. "We are all parents who enjoy spending time outdoors and being active. We want to take part in what's going on in the city and offer locals an enjoyable time in a beautiful place."
Children can expect exercise, dance, drama, art workshops and even a fabulous disco. Adults can start their Saturday day with a workout in the grass, take a Nordic walking guided tour of the springs, or relax with a creative art workshop. At the end of the day, the multi-genre Pilsen band Sensimilium will play for fun and enjoyment.
The Ferdinand's Spring Colonnade will also be filled with the delicious aroma of coffee and goodies from the baristas of the popular café 18g, and there will be beer too.
