On Thursday, 5 September 2024 at 7:30 pm, a concert by the Music of the Castle Guard and the Police of the Czech Republic will take place at the Chopin House. This ensemble, which was formed in 2020 as part of the orchestra of the Music of the Castle Guard and the Police of the Czech Republic, has quickly gained a reputation as an ensemble with an extraordinary variety of repertoire.
The wind trio consists of flute, clarinet and bassoon and focuses on the interpretation of both classical and modern works. The programme of the concert at the Chopin House will include classical works by composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, François Devienne and Kaspar Kummer. In addition, the audience can look forward to swing and jazz pieces by composers such as Astor Piazzolla and Dave Brubeck, as well as arrangements of famous film melodies.
Arrangements for this unique group are prepared by arranger and bandleader Petr Michalec, thanks to whom the repertoire of the Wind Trio is constantly enriched with new and interesting compositions.
In addition, the evening will include works by Bedřich Smetana, Claude Debussy, Bohuslav Martinů, Vittorio Monti, Leonard Bernstein and other important composers.
