Fontána

It performs under the direction of choirmaster P. Urban. The ensemble was founded in 1968 and since 1992 has been an independent artistic ensemble. It chose its name after the local "Singing Fountain". In the past years the choir has made successful trips abroad to Italy, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, France, Denmark, Poland and has welcomed many foreign choirs on its home soil. It currently has around 30 members and brings together amateur singers and music lovers of various professions. The choir's repertoire is very varied - it includes 15th-19th century sacred songs, Italian madrigals, Czech and European folk songs, American spirituals, song cycles, opera choruses and Christmas song cycles. During its existence, the choir has performed a number of large-scale vocal works by Czech and international composers.
