Galerie Marienbad is pleased to announce and cordially invites you to the opening of the first exhibition of the artist Václav Malina.
The curator of the opening exhibition is Alena Mrovcová.

The exhibition of the painter Václav Malina is also a tribute to his 75th anniversary. Malina, a native of Plzeň, is a very special personality of Czech art, because not only as a painter, graphic artist, but also as a writer, gallerist, curator and an excellent teacher he has made history.

As is well known, the only connoisseur and critic of his work is the artist himself: 'Not drawing and its additional colouring, but painting is the indicator of colour relations. This is the essence of colourism, which cannot be imitated but only understood."

Pure sensualism means more to Malina than all the profound socio-political genre and other considerations put together! Malina very often emphasizes that the best school of painting is nature itself. Until now, he has been passionately painting en plein air, where he finds space not only for thinking but also for dreaming.
