Waldstein Monument
Visitors can find the Waldstein Monument behind the headquarters of the Mariánské Lázně spa company. It was built in 1836 in honor of an illustrious visitor Earl Ernest von Waldstein-Wartenberg.
In Felbinger's chronicles of Mariánské Lázně, the monument is depicted as a grey marble vase standing on a pedestal with a poem celebrating the Earl's benefaction to the poor. The Earl died in Mariánské Lázně in 1832. A replica of the vase was created by V. Eibl during the 1960s, but was destroyed several days after its installation.
