Geological Park
Beginning at the edge of the town's spa zone, this educational trail presents an overview of the geological characteristics and flora communities found in the Slavkovský Forest.
The trail follows the slope of a beech forest on the hillside above the Municipal Museum and passes through the park where you'll discover a free exhibition featuring common and quite rare minerals that occur in the Slavkovský Forest.
The plants, herbs, and bushes here have also been selected to correspond to their natural occurrence in the given geological base, soil conditions and mineral environment. The trail is around 1.5km long, covers an area of almost 10 hectares and acquaints visitors with the geological history of the Karlovy Vary region.
