1. Where is the Colonnade and the Singing Fountain?
The Colonnade is located in the town centre. Head up Main Street (Hlavní třída), which runs through the town and at the end turn right onto Nehrova Street.
In front of the Colonnade is Mariánské Lázně's most popular attraction - the Singing Fountain. The fountain puts on performances during high season (May - October) every odd hour from 7am until 10pm. Nighttime illuminated performances are at 9pm and 10pm daily.
2. How do I get to Boheminium?
The miniature park is situated opposite the Hotel Krakonoš, about 1.5km from the town centre. You can reach it by cable car - the lower station is in Dusíkova Street behind the Hotel Nové Lázně. The cable car runs every 15 minutes and can transport bicycles and prams.
If travelling by car you can reach the miniature park from the centre heading in the direction of Karlovy Vary - drive up Dusíkova Street and then turn right before the golf course.

Single tickets are non-transferable and are valid only for the duration of the journey on the bus or trolleybus on which they were purchased. The ticket can not be transferred to another person.

6. Is there a map of the town available?
Different types of maps can be found in the Downloads section or you can pick one up in person from the infocentre (Hlavní 47, Chopin House, 353 01 Mariánské Lázně).
7. Where can I go shopping in Mariánské Lázně?
The town's shopping area is about 1.5km from the Colonnade. To reach it from the centre head down Main Street until you reach the traffic lights then turn right towards Cheb.
8. What is a city tax and what is it for?
City Tax On 01. 01. 2020 in the local regulations on local taxes this tax replaced the two previous taxes (spa tax/recreational stay tax and the accommodation tax).
Who pays the tax?
The tax is levied on paying guests staying with a single accommodation provider for a maximum of 60 consecutive days. The fee must be paid by anyone not normally resident in the town. Blind, guests under 18 years of age, those taking care of children recovering at the spa, seasonal workers and other groups defined by decree 2/2021 valid from 01.01.2022 (www.muml.cz) are also exempt.
How to pay?
Through your accommodation provider. The tax is 50Kč per person/per day in Marienbad and Úšovice and 25Kč per person/per day for Chotěnov u Mariánských Lázní, Stanoviště u Mariánských Lázní, the LIDO and Camping La Provence for each day, including the day of departure, starting from 01.01.2022.
What is it for?
The city tax goes towards funding parks, green areas and flower beds, keeping the town clean year-round plus maintaining and operating the various promenades, walking trails etc. The mineral springs are free of charge, as are performances of the Singing Fountain, concerts at the Colonnade by the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra and other cultural events subsidised by the local authority. The municipal information centre provides promotional materials (maps, guides, SmartGuide audioguides), and you can find out what’s going on in the town, as well as learn about various discounts, on the town’s dedicated tourism website www.marianskelazne.cz.
