Mary Spring

The Mary Spring (Mariin) is important for Mariánské Lázně as it was the first spring to be used for it's healing powers, even before the founding of the spa itself. The spring gains its curative effects from the carbon dioxide which is dissolved in shallow circulating ground-water. In the vicinity of the carbon dioxide egress is the source "Nová Marie", which is used as a natural healing source in nearby spa complexes and as natural mineral water is bottled under the name "AQUA MARIA Marienbad".
