German composers have had a great influence on musical development. In this programme we look at three of the most famous German composers - Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Two great symphonies will be performed - Beethoven's joyous Symphony No. 8 and Bartholdy's spirited Symphony No. 3, subtitled "Italian". In addition, you will hear Schumann's famous piano concerto with a challenging solo part.
Under the direction of conductor Martin Sieghart, participants of the conducting courses in Mariánské Lázně will perform.
